Subway Experiments With Text Ordering

According to this QSR Web article (http://leep.it/dB), it seems like Subway it testing out text ordering.  Way to go Subway!  You know what we always say, the more texting the better!

HTC Hero – It’ll Save You!

In response to Shehzad’s “HTC…No One’s Hero”

Ohhhh little brother… You have so much more to live and learn. Kudos on the attempt though!

We can at least agree on the fact that AT&T’s network is anemic at best. However, when comparing the HTC Hero and Apple iPhone, both of which I have also owned and operated, [...]

Kudos British Airways!

This kudos goes out to the responsible folks at British Airways. Passengers flying to America from London’s Heathrow on December 26 praised British Airways for ensuring they were not adversely affected by a step-up in airport security following the terror alert. People boarding flights to the US this morning were sent text messages ahead of travel warning [...]

Mobile: No Fluff Needed

Diving into 2010 many are curious to know where mobile is headed. I recently came across an article with no fluff, just statistics. It did more then explain where mobile has been, where it’s going, and how fast people have adapted to mobile innovation.

Non-voice activity is considered to be texting (SMS), emailing, taking photos, playing [...]

“It is now safe to move about the cabin, and use your mobile”

My recent trip to Ireland exposed me to more than the pub culture and potatoes. When you fly certain airlines, such as Ryan Air, you can use your mobile phone! Yes, no kidding- you can make calls from your mobile phone when the plane hits 10k feet.

I Think Verizon Hates Me Personally

Oh the wonders of Verizon… See this picture?  Yea, that’s how I feel right now.  Why you might ask?  Verizon.  Verizon is the reason I lay awake at night.  Verizon is the reason I’m going gray early.  Verizon is the reason I have sudden and sharp chest pains, but mostly, Verizon is the reason I [...]

Ireland: land of Guiness, potatoes & mobile

From the moment I landed in Europe mobile campaigns assisting alongside traditional marketing campaigns are widespread. Alcohol brand Carlsberg is using a mobile call to action with a fun campaign called “What’s on, where?”. User can text CARLSBERG to the short code to get information on where the party’s at! The call to [...]

Is Mobile “Social Media”

While preparing for a panel on social media recently I was surprised to NOT find any authority that labeled mobile as social media! I found authority on what social media isn’t, which is monologue broadcast one to many, and what social media is, which is “many to many”, but then where does mobile sit?

By the [...]

Sad – and this person is a VP?!

I just read about a recent mobile marketing campaign in which various questions come on screen during televised sports games to which fans text in a response and watch the results ‘grow’ in a basic graphic, similar to the one below. (Excuse the quick Photshop job!)

These types of campaigns are great because a sponsor of [...]

Dude Texts 662,258 Messages in 1 Month!

Some guy in the below YouTube videos is claiming to have sent out 662,258 text massages in 1 month, by hand.  IMHO, he’s probably using a bot or something to send out all these messages.  Notice how in the second video he doesn’t give us a good look at the phone numbers? He says they [...]
